THINK OUTSIDE THE SNAG
By the time summer rolls around, we freshwater anglers are getting starry-eyed and listless. Thoughts drift to buzzing cicadas and roiling waters at the bottom of a gravel race; and a dingy eddy inviting a well-presented lure. There in the shadows might lurk a bright-eyed, brassy flanked predator ready to scoff the first thing silly enough to come into range.
As the days lengthen and the seasonal chorus of common koels, dollarbirds and cuckoos suddenly springs from every thicket, the call to go bass fishing must be answered!
