TRY MACHINE A hat-trick of hat-tricks is a rare feat but Cantabrigians captain and No 8 Danny Richards, 24, has gone one better! He scored three tries in four consecutive matches in London Three Eastern Counties against Wisbech, Ipswich YM, Crusaders and Fakenham.

Richards took up the game aged 16, played for Altrincham Kersal and later studied physiotherapy in Norwich. Before this season, he had run in only five tries for Cambridge-based Cantabs.
