SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL
It was only after moving into an apartment on a busy London street that I really began to appreciate the summers of my childhood spent in a large country garden, watering tomatoes and picking cherries. A small outdoor space is a treasure, and whether it’s a front garden, a minuscule courtyard or a petite roof terrace, it can be transformed into an outdoor room full of life and personality. The generous urban garden with a sweeping manicured lawn has become something of a rarity, so the way in which we curate our small outdoor spaces has become all the more important. Fortunately, small needn’t mean lifeless or dull. Given enough consideration, even the tiniest of outdoor spaces can result in the most creative and imaginative gardens.
