A SAD OMISSION

Dear Classic American,

Sorry, I’ve no e-mail, I’m just an ol’ country boy. Wrote to you about five years ago asking for more on 1930s-40s cars. More to the point, I’m curious why the mag hasn’t acknowledged the passing of Steve Passmore? This was October 2 last year. He was such a respected American car restorer and aficionado. He lived in Old Sodbury and had a following in that area, as well as being well-known in this country. Steve was mainly a Cadillac man and I own two cars he restored. The 1941 convertible featured front cover of your March 2012. I purchased this car in April 2016; it still looks as good as new.

Just before his death, he phoned me and asked if I was interested in buying either one of the remaining three cars which he had restored. There was another ’41 convertible, a ’41 coupe and
