BRIGADIER GENERAL DAVID LEE ‘TEX’ HILL
ex Hill served as both a flight and squadron commander with the Panda Bears and remained in China to train pilots and lead the 23rd Fighter Group of the US Army Air Forces, ending the war with 15.25 aerial victories. After World War II, Hill engaged in mining, ranching and oil speculation. He remained in the Army Reserve and in 1946 became the commander of the newly formed Texas Air National Guard.
