1 GRAND EGYPTIAN MUSEUM

GIZA, EGYPT

The ultimate Egyptian museum will open its doors in early 2020. A partial opening is set to display all 5,400 objects from Tutankhamun’s tomb for the first time, exploring the king’s history in meticulous detail. The collection also includes the 3,200-year-old statue of Ramses II (above) and 20,000 previously unseen artefacts, to be displayed in galleries more than 20m tall. www.gem.gov.eg
