Hip Hip Hurrah!

is a film about an artist colony at Skagen located on a remote peninsula in Denmark at end of the 19th century. Norwegian-Danish painter Peder Severin Krøyer, marries the beautiful Marie, only to fall victim to a debilitating illness. Inspired by the light, the sea, and the ease of living, the painters create their best works, before their idyllic life comes under threat.
