Toasting the Terno

The sophomore year of TernoCon once more brought out the best in Filipino designers exhibiting their contemporary take on the classic Philippine national dress. Organised by Cultural Centre of the Philippines and homegrown clothing brand Bench, the biennial contest cum fashion show was held at CCP’S Nicanor Abelardo Theatre.

This year, a spectacle of Filipino artistry was unveiled. The venue was decked with modern versions of the and enlivened by performances of music groups such as Sinala Manunubili, Musika Filipina, by doll couturier Cholo Ayuyao, portraits of Filipinas by Rafael de Casal, and several vintage designed by Salvacion Lim Higgins.
