CEDIA’s annual awards program celebrates the many ways technology enhances the home. We’re delighted to bring you the finalists for the Asia-Pacific region, from which the winners will be announced on August 23 at an event held during the Integrate Expo in Sydney. Those winners will go on to be judged in the global awards alongside Americas and EMEA region winners, with the global winners to be announced at an event at the British Museum in London on 27th September. “Better than some more expensive rooms for the price...” “Simple, but so nicely done...” were examples of some of the praise the judges had for this budget-minded and somewhat unusual home cinema design by Electronic Living.
The client needed convincing that his legacy audio gear wouldn’t provide the right sound for the 4K images he’d paid for, and in the end, better equipment won out — resulting in a happy customer. A simple but effective 5.1-channel surround sound system uses a Sunfire 12-inch subwoofer and on-wall Monitor Audio Silver speakers, driven by an Integra receiver, with Vicoustic panelling to optimise the acoustics. “Strong local network infrastructure” was also added so that the client could enjoy both HD audio and 4K UHD video on the Screen Technics 120-inch 2.35:1
