Notes on reviewing a projector

You may recall that BenQ’s W5700 and the W2700 projectors were released around the same time. A funny thing happened when we looked at them. We noticed that the W2700 happily delivered a visibly UltraHD image. But the W5700 didn’t. Yet the W5700 was clearly of producing UHD resolution. When we ran our tests using its USB media reader, it showed a clear 3840 by 2160 pixel resolution. (Not, to be fair, as clearly as do UHD TVs, which don’t shift any pixels; they natively display each UHD pixel.
