Camera in Focus

The FaceTime (front) and iSight (rear) cameras. The FaceTime camera is good for selfies and FaceTime chats and the iSight camera for general photography.

Tap the flash icon and you can set the flash to activate automatically when light is low, switch it on so it always flashes or switch it off so it doesn’t flash at all.

HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. It works by taking several photos at different exposures in a short burst and then combining them into a single image. Tap this icon to set the HDR feature to auto, on or off, as you do for the flash.

A live photo adds a few seconds of video to the still picture, giving it a mildly animated feel. Tap this icon to toggle the Live Photo feature on and off.

This is the self-timer. Tap it, then choose a delay
