Last year, Generation T Malaysia raised RM105,000 for NGO Teach For Malaysia (TFM), co-founded by two-time Gen.T honouree Dzameer Dzulkifli. That night, Dzameer also announced that TFM’s partner bank CIMB Islamic will match the amount donated, rounding up the total contribution to an astounding RM210,000. The funds raised were then channelled towards the upkeep of TFM’s volunteer-teachers around Malaysia.

Afterwards, Dzameer shared with us that the children required more than just money—they must have opportunities and be inspired to rise above their socioeconomic backgrounds and attain empowerment through the spirit of learning. “What I think could help is meeting successful people and then learning from them,” he expressed.
