Sassy’s Happy Tail

A patient wait for her happy ending.

Sassy arrived in the ACT shelter in June 2018, a long 16 months ago, when a concern for her welfare was made. Sassy was approximately two years old and did not have up to date microchip details, and had appeared to be confined in a cage with a small bowl of water.

Despite her circumstances, Sassy was still a smiley, happy-natured dog. Her tail wagged eagerly when she held someone’s attention, something that had caused it to suffer wounds from wagging and knocking against the small cage walls.

Sassy was brought to the shelter, where she waited patiently for four months while her Inspectorate case was resolved. She was wormed, vaccinated and desexed. Finally, Sassy was ready for adoption and eager to find a family to call her own.
