    There’s landscape photography and then there’s landscape photography shot the Lisa Michele Burns way. She doesn’t just point, shoot and move on; she believes in becoming wholeheartedly involved in her subjects. And if that involves some physical discomfort and plenty of mental courage, then so be it.

    So that viewers can really share the experience of what she’s seeing through her lens, she puts in a lot of extra effort to create photographs that convey the true essence of a place.
