Keith Jarrett’s Köln Concert is the best-selling solo album in jazz history. Recorded in 1975 in Cologne, with Jarrett playing a baby grand delivered instead of the Bosendorfer 290 Imperial that should have been on the stage for this live performance, the sound was captured by Neumann U-67 valved condenser microphones and a Telefunken M-5 tape machine.
