Auckland’s first rooftop dining

Nic Watt (of Masu) and chef Darren Johnson’s new Pervian-style eatery up on Westfield Newmarket’s Rooftop on Broadway brings something unique to the Auckland dining scene. The interior is down-to-earth and natural, dressed in calming wood and big, open windows which flow on to a cluster of benches outside, a perfect spot to wile the afternoon away with a margarita slushie. The seating borders an open kitchen area, allowing diners to peer in at chefs plating fresh, bracing ceviches, smoky anticucho (skewers) and simple but inventive dishes.
