THE TRANS-PENNINE RUN AT 50

This event was first started in 1968, by three members of what was then the North Midlands branch of the Historic Commercial Vehicle Club, which later evolved in to the Yorkshire Area of the Historic Commercial Vehicle Society.

The club, which was formed in 1958, was already organising the annual London to Brighton Run for historic commercial vehicles and thoughts turned to the possibility of running an event
