GOING IT ALONE

Some people should never be allowed out on their own – and I’m one of them. I was going away for two nights to shoot for England. Mike would be away for five nights, possibly to get over the shock of me leaving him, but to be honest it was probably more about the fishing. I refer to Mike’s fishing trips as mini breaks or holidays, but Mike insists they are hard work, putting into practice all the research he has done through the summer. I suppose that’s one way of looking at sitting on the bank drinking gin and tonics and not catching fish. I’ll leave you to make up your own mind!
