SAFELY DOES IT!

For those of us who have been around guns for a long time, safety is something we take for granted most of the time. What I mean by this is that for those of us possessing experience, we automatically and without thinking are always aware of whereabouts our barrels are pointing, making sure that the gun is always positioned in a safe direction.

This ‘barrel awareness’ is learned until it becomes second nature and we subconsciously point the gun in a safe direction at all times.

In addition, we also learn that we double-check to make sure that a gun is unloaded when stored, and that any magazine system is also away from the gun. Personally, following a physical check that any of my guns are ready for safe storage, I always point them in a safe direction and pull the trigger as the final check that they
