BULLY FOR YOU!

Outside of indoor target-shooting circles, a PCP with open sights is an almost unthinkable concept, but Turkish gunmaker Hatsan dares to be different, and the Hercules Bully isn’t just a pre-charged pneumatic with opens, it’s a semi-bullpup hunting design to boot.

And what a bullpup it is! The first thing that struck me on seeing the Bully for the first time was the massive sight rail that runs from the breech and extends beyond the forend, reminding me a little of the huge handguard that sits on top of the French FAMAS assault rifle. It’s not just the rail that’s big, however, as this is one chunky puppy, weighing in at 4.65kg (10.3lb), making it a real bulldog of the bullpup world.
