I think that all trappers are looking for ways to improve their land trapping. Soon aft er I began trapping, I started to pay attention to my percentage of traps out and what I was producing for my efforts. To explain this is simple: If I set 20 traps and out of those 20 I only produced seven coyotes, that would be only a small percentage for my efforts.

Most, if not all, trappers, and that includes myself, do not like making unproductive sets or wasting their efforts. So how can one improve the percentages and make the most out of our setting efforts.
