Now in its fifth iteration, the W205 Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan, priced from $61,900 for the C200, is as large as its big-brother E-Class was just two generations ago.

Yet it is the S-Class flagship that has provided inspiration for today’s BMW 3 Series rival, with similarly aero-crafted styling that imbues the Benz with real road presence.
