AUDI

VW’s luxury brand aims to have 12 electric vehicles in showrooms by 2025. The first of those is the e-tron, an SUV that’s about the same size as the Q5 and goes up against Jaguar’s I-Pace and the Mercedes EQC, due in late 2019.

Audi claims up to 300kW of power and 664Nm of torque from the e-tron, plus a range of up to 400km. Recharging — the problematic aspect of EVs — can take as little as half an hour at a fast charging DC station, but these are, as yet, not established in Australia. Audi will likely install them at a few of its dealers in capital cities. Home
