Advanced Winch Recovery

So if you’ve found yourself (or someone else) in a bit of a tricky predicament, here’s how a basic snatch block pulley system can help set you free.

First and foremost, if you own a winch you should own a snatch block (or two or three) as they’re pretty important when it comes to tricky situations. Snatch blocks are primarily used for two things:

1. to provide more pulling power and reduce winch load

2. to change the winching direction.

Depending on your situation, you will need to decide what type of rigging technique to apply to get the best recovery result.
