The state of ESG investing in South Africa

investing with ESG considerations is less prevalent in emerging markets, but no less relevant to share price performance, according to Jessica Ground, global head of stewardship at global asset manager Schroders.

She told an investment symposium, attended by South African asset managers in March, that analysis showed that there was an even stronger positive impact on corporate financial performance from ESG investment in emerging markets than developed markets.
