With three-quarters of the 100 biggest shares on the JSE, as measured by market cap, lying belowtheir200-dayexponential moving averages (EMAs), there can be no doubt that the bourse is experiencing a tough time. It’s mainly certain large commodity shares – with the platinum groups and some gold shares in the forefront – that are still making the general index look reasonable.
