    In our most recent edition of FM magazine, we outlined our plans to introduce a new column, ‘Ask the Expert’. We are excited at the prospect that this column will help our FM industry here in Australia and we anticipate it developing and evolving as we tap into the wisdom of experts in the varied field of facilities management.

    By way of introducing the concept to Australia, we reproduced an example of the type of question and responses previously published in the IFMA Facilities Management Journal (FMJ).

    Acknowledging that many of you would not have had the opportunity to respond to our invitation to register as an expert because of the Christmas and New Year break, we are providing another example of a previously published Ask the Expert topic here, to allow us to gather a strong and diverse group of experts for the following issue.

    In the meantime, this topic centres on emergency preparedness, business continuity and resilience. We hope you all find it informative.
