BOWLING HIS WAY TO THE TOP

Next year when North Richmond resident Michael Glenday competes in the Special Olympics Australia National Games 2018 in the Ten Pin Bowling division, he’ll be representing his mates at the Windsor Bowling Alley with pride, sending a strong message about the importance of perseverance, fun and friendship.

“Michael has Hypotonic Cerebral Palsy,” explains his mother and full-time carer, Christine Glenday. And though he hasn’t always been interested in the sport, it was his teammates and the camaraderie surrounding Ten Pin Bowling which first attracted him.
