the newest event to fire up the regional calendar is the Orange Winter Fire Festival, held the first weekend in August each year.

Inspired by the cracker night bonfire tradition, the Orange Winter Fire Festival celebrates Orange’s authentic country winters with bonfires, char grilled feasts, star gazing from both European and Indigenous perspectives and blazing Sunday lunches in country pubs, cafes and restaurants.

Producers and venues really turn up the heat for this festival, designing some truly unique events that showcase everything the region has to offer, all year round. Enjoy char-grilled feasts and rich red wines under the region’s expansive starry night skies or huddle up next to a fireplace in one of the many venues
