NISSANY 62 PATROL FROM $69,990

Nissan recently took the axe to Y62 Patrol prices, chopping up to $27,500 off the top-spec Ti-L. You can now get into a Y62 from $69,990, which makes it a pretty attractive alternative to the Toyota 200 Series Landcruiser. Still no word on a diesel, unfortunately.

HOW MUCH?

The Y62 Patrol Ti is $69,990 and the Ti-L, tested, is $86,990. Nissan cut Patrol prices to accommodate the Infiniti QX80. See page 15 for details.

NUTS AND BOLTS

• The Y62 Patrol is made in Japan.

• It uses a separate body on steel frame chassis design but it’s much larger than the GU with a 225mm longer wheelbase (now 3075mm) and an overall length of 5140mm. So it’s the biggest 4WD on the market.
