It was supposed to be the first exhale of spring, where we were promised considerable chill, sunlight poking through the gathering of clouds, and as the photographs suggested, a blooming of colors through the pockets of flowerbeds that decorated the city. However, the high (albeit jetlagged) spirits of our arrival was marred by biting winds and a rude drenching of rain.
The possibility of an overcast of a dull gray hung over us all night and even in the morning of the day’s scheduled cover shoot, one that intended to feature the famed Midtown Manhattan skyline in all its towering and gleaming glory.
