Navigating a New York-style building can be a test of patience, especially if you are widely unfamiliar with the deceptive simplicity of it all, that or we were just a little wrought by jetlag and our navigational skills were off by a hairline. After much back-and-forth, we were finally led into the landing of a big, bright space where despite the wash of rain threatening to fall in torrents and a looming overcast of gray, there was an austerity and buoyant energy flowing through the loft.
