Q What does it mean when someone says they are checking the tracking on a scope or checking how well it tracks?

A Checking a scope’s tracking basically means checking that the click values of the turrets actually correspond to the measurement they are supposed to move the reticle by (usually ¼in at 100 yards), that the direction is indeed as it should be, and that it is repeatable.
