Q What’s your opinion on the best camo gear to buy for foxing?

A Mike says: I am a bit old-school on this one. Certainly for summer fox work, camo can be extremely useful in breaking up your outline, and some of today’s patterns are really extremely good. However, for winter work I much prefer plaid brown or what is called Loden green.

The problem I’ve come across with some camo for night work is that some of the lighter colours can really stand out if there is any moonlight, whereas if you wear dark, solid coloured clothing, you will be all but invisible.
