This one’s a keeper
Some time ago, for a variety of reasons, I decided that I really didn’t need a deer legal rifle any more, so traded in my Sauer 202 in .243 and got a custom .204 Ruger for fox work. I haven’t regretted the move for a moment as the .204 has turned out to be one of the very best rifles I’ve ever owned and a real credit to the craftsmanship of Mike Norris. However, since then things have changed, and with a rapidly growing roe population on the ground I shoot over, I decided that I really did need a .243 in the armoury again.
Being a reviewer of rifles, you’d think, would put me in a good position to pick new rifle. In reality it’s the opposite: having had a wide variety of makes and types through my hands just seems to complicate matters. Eventually I narrowed the choice down to either another Sauer or a Schultz & Larsen, the latter a make I’ve reviewed
