Gold ‘discs’ were struck at the Philadelphia Mint for Saudi Arabia in 1945 to 1947. Were these meant to be coins or bullion?
It is now legal to own gold in the United States, but at the time the ‘large’ and ‘small’ author Richard Yeoman cataloged them as being valued at one British sovereign (small disc) and four sovereigns (large disc).
