APPOINTMENTS

Most designers and bridal boutiques require you to book an appointment well in advance to try on their wedding gowns. They also charge a try-on fee – this is usually $50-$100 and is refunded on purchase. Try to book a weekday appointment if you can, as weekends can be busy.

BODY SHAPE

One of the first factors to consider when selecting your gown is your body shape. Hourglass and pear shapes look incredible in mermaid, ballgown and empire styles, while an A-line works best
