The Browning A-Bolt 6.5 Creedmoor rifle

Since its introduction in the early1990s, there have been a number of variations of the Browning A-Bolt marque-perhaps the best known being the A-Bolt II BOSS (Ballistic Optimising Shooting System). This rifle had a muzzle attachment that acted not only as a brake but could also be adjusted to optimise barrel vibrations to achieve the best possible accuracy with any given load. It worked well enough but increased the felt muzzle blast and these days very little is heard about the system.

In 2014 Browning introduced the A-Bolt 3 rifle as another step in the evolution of the marque. The rifle under review here is the Hunter in 6.5 Creedmoor, a simple but handsome walnut-stocked rifle with a practical matte blued barrel and action that appeals to old-fashioned hunters
