THE FIFTH ELEMENT

In 1992, two lifelong friends who bonded over a shared love of aviation and watches decided that rather than wait for an industry to create something they would appreciate and love, they’d give it a shot themselves. They started by teaming up with Helmut Sinn, and early Bell & Ross watches were a mix of retro-futuristic hits like the Space 1 and the Bomb Disposal Type.

It took over another decade before Bruno Belamich — the ‘Bell’ of the brand (pun intended) — would go all out to create the BR 01, the first square-cased watch of the brand that was inspired by the classic dashboard instruments of the aviation world. This bold move resulted in an instant icon.
