If you want to buy one with an impressive provenance, be prepared to spend even more than that. If you want to buy one that actually won twice at Le Mans, won five other major races, and was piloted by some of the royalty of motor racing, including six-times Le Mans winner Jackie Ickx, you’re venturing into the realms of the impossible.

So, accepting that owning one of these cars in this part of the world is not readily achievable — after all, only about 50 GT40s were made — the next best thing is to own a replica.
