AUTODESK REVIT REVISITED
Over the last two decades, BIM (building information modelling) has gained prevalence in the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry as a ubiquitous modelling technology. Key to this development has been global software vendor Autodesk, a familiar name to most architects since the advent of computer aided design (CAD). Phillip G Bernstein is an architect, technologist and lecturer in Professional Practice at the Yale School of Architecture. Formerly a vice president at Autodesk, Bernstein speaks about the strategic development of Autodesk Revit vis-à-vis an evolving AEC landscape, and how BIM technologies are reshaping the business of architecture in the US.
