The Right to Hunt

IN 1970, MY arrival at Victoria Falls in the old Rhodesia at the age of 24 was a double delight. Not only was it a female tourist mecca, but it was also primarily to me, a hunting paradise.

With the mighty Zambezi River on the north edge of town, surrounded by natural bush and forest, and national parks and farms to the west, wild animals went unhindered and often strayed into the village. I soon got to
