Stilbaai’s quieter neighbour

Next to the N2, about four hours out of Cape Town, is a blue dinghy with plastic sails and the name Stilbaai printed in bold letters on an arch above it. It’s on the righthand side of the road where you’d turn off onto the R305.

Folks heading to Hartenbos, Knysna or Plettenberg Bay probably don’t pay much attention to this T-junction, but if you step on the brake pedal and take the turn, the road takes you to one of the most popular holiday destinations in the country.
