    Holden commissioned the GTR-X–coded RD-2 within GM-H–back in early 1969 and intentionally based it on the popular LC Torana running gear with suitable modifications. RD-1 was the exotic Hurricane show car that was never intended for production but the folks at Holden had higher hopes for the GTR-X.
