Gwen Stefani replaced Adam Levine on the current season of the series but, in true Gwen Stefani fashion, she won’t be returning for the show’s 18th season; so NBC has announced that pop sensation Nick Jonas will take a seat on the popular coaching chairs and, naturally, he’s really amped about joining the show.

“I’m so excited to be a part of family,” he says. “It’s such an awesome group of individuals, and I can’t wait to help these artists really build and hone in to find their unique voices.” Meanwhile, Meredith Ahr, the president success in navigating all aspects of the music industry is exceptional. “We were so impressed by his innate musicality, technical aptitude and passion that he brought to earlier this year and know he will be an incredible fit as a coach on . We are excited to see lend his mentorship, relatability and breadth of knowledge to a new crop of artists.”
