HELPING YOUR CHILD DEAL WITH PAIN

Few things in life create more helplessness in parents than seeing their child in pain. However, as a parent, you’re an essential member of every medical team treating your child and are also your son’s or daughter’s most important source of support, says Dr Annemarie Oberholzer, co-ordinator of the Paediatric Empowerment Programme. She offers the following tips to help improve your child’s experience of injections and other minor medical procedures:
