Archie’s day of joy

Exactly two months after he was born, Master Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor donned the historic royal christening robe of fine Honiton lace lined with white satin and took his place in the royal annals. And from this stunning family photograph taken in the Green Drawing Room at Windsor Castle, where the Duke and Duchess’s formal wedding poses were also taken, baby Archie’s christening looked like a very traditional affair. The photo was posted on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s official a few hours after the ceremony. But, as we have come to expect, this very modern royal couple also broke the House of Windsor mould, just a bit, but enough to have everyone talking.
