For 94 years, the mountaineer’s guide to the southern wild has been stowed away in the packs of adventurers and inspired countless expeditions from its place on the bookshelf.
Originally published as , the title was revised to the iconic in 1948, and later divided into the north edition, covering Lake Ohau to the Hollyford, and the south edition, covering tracks south of the Hollyford.
