The right DIRECTION

It’s no secret that women are having a moment in Hollywood after years of fighting to be heard. They are battling to be paid the same as their male counterparts and want more meaty roles instead of the ‘pretty girlfriend’. And with growing support and encouragement for women to pursue their creative dreams, more and more female stars are turning to producing and directing in a bid to pave the way for future women in the still male-dominated industry.

“We gotta have these models for the next generation, so someone can grow up and say, ‘I want to be the next Liz Banks’, and not say, ‘I want to be Steven Spielberg’,” producer and director Elizabeth Banks insists.
