The Damascus-born, Berlin-based artist Marwan Kassab-Bachi (1934–2016)—commonly known as Marwan—is renowned for bridging Arabic and Western artistic styles. Galerie Michael Haas’s showcase celebrated the pioneering painter, spotlighting a series of his canvases from the 1970s to the 2000s.
